Summer Day Camp

BEGINNER TO ADVANCED -
WELCOME!
Miwok Livery Summer Camps run weekly from June 13 through August 19. Children ages seven to sixteen learn to take care of horses, groom, saddle and bridle, with riding lessons in the ring and fun horsey games and activities.

Campers are grouped for riding lessons by age and level. Our knowledgeable staff evaluate the children carefully and place each child in the group which will provide the best, safest and happiest riding experience. There is lots of hands-on attention. We emphasise safety, while making the camp fun and educational. Our horses have years of experience introducing riders of all ages to the sport. They love the children, and fully earn their carrots.

For younger riders, lesson groups are small, with one-on-one attention from instructors and counselors - we help the children to meet their growing challenges with a sense of fun. The Camps give children confidence around horses in a safe and controlled, but playful environment.

Older campers are given challenges and activities appropriate to their levels, grouped by experience and carefully matched with a suitable horse for their riding lessons. Riders gain a firm foundation in equestrian skills, learning more about horses and themselves as they advance. Games and puzzles, videos and other activities add to the fun. For many, the enjoyment of horses will last a lifetime.

Monday-Friday 9:00-3:30

$650 per week. $200 Non-refundable deposit.
Daycare available to 5:00 @ $100/week, $35/day.

After-Camp Care
3:30-5:00
For those needing to be picked up later than 3:30 p.m. and NO LATER than 5:00 pm. AFTER CAMP CARE can be provided. After-care will be in the Livery Office, - no horse activities included. Cost: $100/week, $35/day.

Friday Camp Horse Show
1:45 p.m.
Bring your family and friends for the Friday Show Off!
Do bring your camera - kids and horses love having their pictures taken!

For Camp:
You will need
• Paddock boots (we have some to lend in a few sizes) - no rubber boots; for safety in the stirrup, boots must have a small heel.
• Riding Helmet: You'll wear an SEI helmet we will lend you.
• Long Pants: riding breeches or comfortable pants.
• Lunch and Snacks
• Jacket & sweater - summer fog can come in suddenly.
