Horsemanship Day Camps
Miwok Livery Summer Camps run weekly from June 16 through August 22. Children from age six and up learn to take care of horses, grooming, saddling and bridleing, with riding lessons in the ring and horsey games and activities.
Children are grouped by levels of experience for the riding lessons. We have a large staff of instructors, counselors, and counselors-in -training for hands-on attention. We emphasise safety, while making the experience fun and educational. Our horses have years of experience introducing riders of all ages to the sport. They love the children, and fully earn their carrots.
LITTLE BRITCHES CAMPS - Ages 6-9.
Morning Little B's, Ages 6-9: Monday-Friday 9:00-12:00 a.m............. $475.
AFTERNOON CAMP, Ages 6-10: Monday-Friday 1:00-4:00 p.m. .......$475.
Beginning riders get a great start with English riding lessons, fun games, and activies to give the children confidence around horses. They learn to ride in a safe, controlled but playful environment. A great introduction to riding: Afternoon camp runs from 1:00-4:00.
HORSEMANSHIP DAY CAMP - Ages 9-16.
Monday thru Friday, 9:00-5:00........$650.
A complete horsemanship camp for kids ages nine to sixteen. Learn everything about horses from the ground up by grooming, tacking and plenty of riding. Visits by shoers and vets, video tapes, horseback games and the Friday Horseshow add to the fun.
From beginner to advanced - All Levels Welcome!
Riding lessons are grouped by the experience level of the riders. Campers are evaluated carefully and placed in the group which will provide them with a safe and pleasurable riding experience. We have thirty years of experience teaching riding year-round to young children. Afterschool programs are available from September to June; our camp program is a prerequisite.Choose All Day or Afternoons:
