Summer Day Camp

FROM BEGINNER TO ADVANCED - ALL WELCOME!
.Miwok Livery Summer Camps run weekly from June 14 through August 20. Children ages six to sixteen learn to take care of horses, groom, saddle and bridle, with riding lessons in the ring and fun horsey games and activities.
Campers are grouped for the riding lessons by age and level. Our knowledgeable staff evaluate the children carefully and place each
child in the group which will provide the best, safest and happiest
riding experience. There is lots of hands-on attention. We emphasise safety, while making the camp fun and educational. Our horses have years of experience introducing riders of all ages to the sport. They
love the children, and fully earn their carrots.
LITTLE BRITCHES - Ages 6-9.
For younger riders, we go slowly, mindful of short legs and attention spans of the little ones. Lesson groups are small, with the youngest
kids on lead-lines. The Camps give children confidence around
horses in a safe and controlled, but playful environment.
BIGGER BRITCHES - Ages 9-16.
 Older campers are given challenges and activities appropriate to their levels, grouped by experience and carefully matched with a suitable horse for their riding lessons. Riders practice walking the horse, using the reins, their legs, voice and balance to communicate with the horse for turns, halts, and the beginnings of the trot. Games and puzzles, videos and other activities add to the fun. For many, the enjoyment of horses will last a lifetime.

 

Camp 2011 ~ All ages, 6-18

The Camp Application will be posted January 15, 2011.

Camps will run weekly from June 13 through August 12, 2011.

Monday-Friday 9:00-3:30 (daycare available to 5:00)

$750 per week. $200 Non-refundable deposit.

After-Camp Care
3:30-5:00
For those needing to be picked up later than 3:30 p.m. and NO LATER than 5:00 pm. AFTER CAMP CARE can be provided. After-care will be in the Livery Office, - no horse activities included. Cost: $100/week, $35/day.

Friday Horse Show
1:45 p.m.
Bring your family and friends for the Friday Show Off!
Go to the front of the office where you will find a list of where your child will be riding. Do bring your camera - kids and horses love having their pictures taken!
