Party Schedule
The Birthday Party starts off with a tour of the stables. Then meet and greet the horses and have a demonstration about horses, their care, grooming, personalities and such. Next comes the really fun part - we fit the children with riding helmets, and put them on our horses for a short riding lesson.
We teach the children how to correctly, and safely, approach and handle a horse. Did you know that a horse’s eyes are set so wide apart on the side of his head, that he cannot see what is in front of his mouth? So we teach children how to feed a horse and pet his nose without having their little fingers mistaken for carrots.
Horses are fun, and loveable animals of a size and scale many kids never get to see up close. We enjoy giving children (and grown-ups, too!) the opportunity to come to a real working stable, experience a taste of ranch life, and ride a horse.
Miwok Livery has been at Miwok Stables for twenty-six years, giving riding lessons and summer camps to children and adults. Our instructors are certified and experienced with children and horses. Our horses are calm and friendly veterans of many camps and kids.

A private room in the barn and picnic tables outside are available. cost $400 for 6 children, $25 each beyond 6 children. Credit Cards accepted. Payment in advance.
