Trail Riding
in the National Park

Trail Rides start with a half-hour lesson in the arena, on how to ride the horse and safety reminders. Then your instructor will take you for a scenic hour on the trails of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. You won't believe there is a major metropolis just over the hill.
The scenery is beautiful, with vistas of Mount Tamalpais, the Pacific Ocean, San Francisco and the Bay. You are likely to see deer and jackrabbits, maybe coyote and bobcats, hawks, egrets, herons, blackbirds and quail.
Whether you are new to riding, or experienced, you will enjoy seeing this lovely park from horseback.

Your safety and enjoyment are of highest priority. If the Instructor determines during the lesson that your ability to control and direct the horse is not sufficient to ensure a safe ride on the trail, then the training session will be expanded and the riding session reduced accordingly. In any case, the rider will have a full hour on horseback.
